The Mines of Gwydyr from Llanrwst Details
Gwydyr Forest has much more appeal than mountain biking.
Hidden in the woods are the remains of the lead and zinc mining industry at Hafna Galena and Parc mines. It’s now mainly overgrown, but plenty remains for the industrial archaeologist. Most of the shafts are capped, but be wary of holes if you do decide to explore the undergrowth!
