Mallerstang Edge and High Seat
This route starts from Hollow Mill Cross on the B6270 between Nateby and Birk Dale in the Yorkshire Dales National Park. You’re already at 500m at the starting point, with a third of the total ascent being to return up the valley to the starting point!
It ascends gently over open moors to the summit of High Seat (709m) before a pathless descent down Brockholes Gill to a good track and a return along the mountain road to the starting point.
