Ravenscar to Robin Hood’s Bay Walk

The North York Moors National Park should be called the North York Moors and Coastal National Park, as this walk shows.

Ravenscar was at one point planned to be a resort to rival the nearby Scarborough, but even though the roads were in place it remained a small village owing to the difficult access to the beach that’s over 150m below. This route starts at Ravenscar and initially heads inland to follow the route of the Scarborough-Whitby railway to Robin Hood’s Bay ,before returning along the spectacular Yorkshire coast.
