Explore the Penmaenmawr Uplands
While from Penmaenmawr, the skyline looks like hills, once you explore you realise that they form the edge of an upland plateau. This is an area rich in history, and even though you’re over 400m above sea level there are still occupied farm housed here and some remarkably good farmland in places.
This would make an alternative approach to Tal y Fan as well.
