Caernarfon to Llanberis Hilly Run

This is my favourite run, with just enough trail to make it interesting and not too much ascent so a mere mortal can complete it.

Location: Caernarfon

Difficulties: None Specified

The Route Due to injury, I’ve not run this route for over a year, but it is my favourite run. The final section climbs up to Bwlch y Groes as does the Eryri Marathon and is torture after only running 6km. I can only imagine how any unprepared runners would feel when they hit that hill after 35km running!

Dave Roberts founded Walk Eryri in 2004, with the aim of providing routes that are off the beaten track. Walk Eryri is now part of Mud and Routes which continues to provide more off beat routes and walks in Snowdonia and beyond. Dave has been exploring the hills of Eryri for over thirty years, and is a qualified Mountain Leader. Dave also established Walk up Snowdon, Walk up Scafell Pike and Walk up Ben Nevis just to mention a few.
