Rain, wind and motivation..
Looks like more of the same after this weekend. Only more so…
Been a crap week, and only managed to get out for some sort of exercise tonight in between the pizza scoffing and rain. At least this weekend’s looking good, but I think i need something to motivate me and shake off the excess weight – roughly equivalent to 1.09 Amy Winehouses.
So what should I train for?
1 – Snowdonia Marathon 2011 – considering i’ve never ran a race as i don’t like crowds, ran a max of a half mara and just recovering from a seriously sprained ankle with 11k being just about doable. BUT – that nasty ending to the Marathon over Cefn Du is my favourite, but toughest, training run and even if it’s a killer then it’s still a lot of fun.
2 – Bike from Caerdydd up to Conwy/Caernarfon in 3 or 4 days. I know it’s usually to Caergybi, but I can’t see the point as i live on the mainland and would need to find a way back. So a S-N Coast to Coast next May, tryingf to keep off roads, but as close to Lon Las as possible.
3 – Snowdon Race – i think that i’m too late to enter, plus I need to do a half (an official one!). Probably one for 2012?
4 – Some sort of fastpack challenge – with the problem being the time available being no more than 5 -7 days….
5 – All of the above…. Ok.. Ok.. No need to be mean…
