The King is Dead….

My Garmin 305 Forerunner finally died on me…. Had I either the time or the inclination (and quite possibly the skill and a soldering iron) I might easily have repaired it, instead it’s thrown into one of my many junk drawers – but the one reserved for odd bits of mobile phones and numerous chargers for devices long gone.

Not one to let adversity get in the way, this is just the excuse I need to upgrade and invest in a better device…

For the record – it managed to log 1,838km over the 18 months or so it lasted. I’d expected it to have lasted a little longer, 5000km noted on my log as expected lifetime!

So hopefully my HRM strap will still be compatible as that’s going to save me a goodly few quid…
