Salomon Agile SS Tee Review

Dave Roberts reviews the Salomon Agile Short Sleeved Tee which has been reviewed on local trail runs and the Snowdonian hills.

The Salomon Agile is a technical tee designed for year round running. Boasting AdvancedSkin ActiveDry technical fabrics that wick effectively, meaning that it should be comfortable, dry and warm. Reflective details provide a bit more visibility in the dark and the vibrant orange makes you highly visible in daylight without being too bright on the eyes.

Designed for running, it also makes a comfortable walking tee. I think it’s probably more of a three season top, though that’s probably as I just prefer a thin long sleeve top in any conditions where I might need to don a wind-proof. Try sweating in a wind-proof next to your skin and you’ll know what I mean!

I like the extra pocket that this top boasts, with a stash pocket for keys or a single sachet of gel. This will be useful in warmer weather when you really don’t want to be carrying much and every extra little stash comes in useful.

I also found it comfortable enough for that long run.  Additionally, the mesh panels under the arms help with the cooling as well as the effective wicking properties of the tee. The length of the tee was also just right, with many running tops being too short for my liking, akin to crop tops in some instances as my torso is quite long and my legs short for my height.

Bottom line – it’s  a fine running tee, priced at the higher end of the market. You can get cheaper tops, though you’ll need to take your chances on quality. It’s also orange, which seems to be the colour of the season, and we like orange!
