Walking in Britain’s Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty
Areas of outstanding natural beauty (AONB) are areas afforded similar protection to National Parks. Here are a list of all the AONB areas in England, Wales and Northern Ireland, with links to the AONB homepage on Mud and Routes. We don’t have routes in some areas, but if you represent that AONB, or run a website with routes in the area then we’d love to hear from you. Note that some categories will include routes that are near the AONB – such as Shropshire including routes within the county.
