Castell Dolwyddelan Walk

Starting from the train station at Dolwyddelan, this is one of the best options for visiting the castle if you don’t want to to do the usual tourist stuff and keep to within five minutes of your car! Beware some rather noisy dogs near the Pen-y-rhiw farm, they like to make it known that you’re on their territory, but they’re kept safely behind a sturdy fence.
You will however need to walk downhill to the visitor centre if you wish to visit the castle (it isn’t free).
