Byerhope Bank Walk From Allenheads

A short walk from the Northumberland village of Allenheads onto the Byerhope Bank moors. Allenheads is high in the hills (over 400m) and is a former mining village that had a population of over a 1000 in its heyday, but only around a tenth of that today. At least there’s still a pub, and a cafe as the main industry is tourism these days.
