Rab Women’s Quest Jacket

Nia Jenkins reviews the Rab Quest Jacket.

I’ve used this Rab Quest Jacket over the last few months whilst out in the hills of Snowdonia. We have had a pretty cold winter in Wales so it was much needed for the first few months of 2016! This is what I thought…

This jacket is a slim fit fleece hoody and has two zipped hand pockets which is handy for stashing essentials. Personally, I love slim fit jackets because they work better to keep you warm, which is exactly what this one does.

It includes an inner storm flap at the main zip and this stops any drafts sneaking inside. I usually wear a buff if I’m out all day in the winter, but the chin guard on this jacket does the exact same job.

If you’re prone to getting cold (like me) you will also love the cosy thumb loops on the jacket. The thumb loops are definitely one of my favourite features, I’ve barely had to wear any gloves over the winter because the sleeves come low enough to protect the hands and you still have your fingers free, which is handy if you’re doing any rope work/climbing.

This is perfect for wearing over a thin baselayer on a dry day and also works great under a waterproof or down jacket for colder days. I find that fleece jackets can be a bit sweaty sometimes but because the inside of this Quest Jacket is 100% polyester, it keeps you warm and cosy but is also breathable.
