Lincoln to Boston along the Witham
This is a long day route, or a shorter more sedate one over a couple of days. It follows the River Witham, and you can in most cases walk on either side.
However, crossings are few and far between, so make sure you’re on the right side if you want to lunch at a pub, or more critically to make sure you’re on the same side of the river as your accommodation! There are some trains from Boston to Lincoln, though not direct (you’ll need to check this out before the trip!)
