About Walking in Denbighshire

Denbighshire includes such varied walking areas as the Wales Coast Path to the north, the Clwydian Hills and Dee Valley AONB , a section of Mynydd Hiraethog and the wild and remote Berwyn Hills to the south. You can walk the entire county from North to South by following the Offa’s Dyke National Trail, which barring a couple of small deviations, stays within the county from Prestatyn to Pont Cysyllte. One of the most popular tourist towns is Llangollen which is an excellent base from which to explore the southern section of the county.
