About Walking in the Clwydian Range and Dee Valley

We have a wide selection of Clwydian range walks here at Mud and Routes. The Clwydian Range and Dee Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty is found in North East Wales and features in the three counties of Denbighshire, Flintshire and Wrexham.

A stunning range, the Clwydian Hills are heather clad summits topped with historically significant Iron Age hillforts, while the Dee Valley contrasts with it’s lush green views.

The Clwydian range walks draws numerous visitors as it caters for all abilities, with easier family friendly walks to be found in both the Moel Fammau country park, which if course has the very popular Moel Fammau walk, and Loggerheads country park. As well as longer walks in a selection of waymarked trails, some of which include the lesser known North Berwyn Way and the Clwydian Way, or why not explore the Dee Valley waymarked route which starts at Corwen and finishes in Llangollen, a great spot to base yourself to explore some great walking in the area.
