Desert after the rains…
Is it just me, or is the early summer giving us a spectacular spring? I noticed today along the Foryd headland that what last week was plain and grassy, today had become a carpet of pink Thrift or Sea Pink (Armeria maritima). Last week on a run over a green lane, bluebells were in profusion and bear’s garlic along Lon Eifion. This is along areas we’d normally think of as unexceptional, designated neither within the park or a nature reserve but still clearly with the ability to shine. Apologies for the Sea Pink images, they’re taken with my phone and may be a little ropey and whenever I photograph an apparent sea of bluebells they disappear on the eventual photo.
