Bored with ‘just’ a walk?
If so, then you might fancy to attend a walking and performance event in the Yorkshire Dales? Artist Louise Ann Wilson will take you on a site specific tour over rugged terrain described as :
An extraordinary creative encounter between artists, scientists, audiences and landscape, Fissure will create a new ‘myth’ about life, death, grief, resilience and renewal.

You’ll need to be prepared as it will run no matter the weather, including heavy rain, so sounds like a typical weekend in the hills! The Saturday alone covers 16km over hill and dale, so sounds a bit more than just a walk around a field.
Fissure runs for three days staring on the 20th of May through to the 22nd and costs between £120 through to £250 depending on concession, group size or if you need accommodation. You’ll need to get to Kirkby Stephen or Settle stations from where the event takes place.
