Under Armour EU Tech Men’s T-Shirt Review
The Under Armour EU Tech T-Shirt is sold as your favourite T-shirt, but with a technical twist. Is this really a technical top that looks OK down ‘t pub?
Picture your favorite T-shirt. Got it? Okay. Now let’s put it to the UA challenge. Your favorite against ours. But to be fair, ours isn’t an ordinary short sleeve T-shirt. Our Men’s UA Tech™ T-Shirt is built with technology that makes you better, from serious cross training to hard gym workouts. – UA Website.
To start with, this is certainly a quality tee at a bargain price. At only £15, this is a steal compared to the price of similarly featured tops sold for summer walking. Beware the pricing though, as some sellers (primarily on Amazon) seem to be hiking the price up. It’s a reasonable £15 on the UA website, so any vendor asking anything above and beyond that is just pulling a fast one.
This top is light and ultra comfortable. I had to double check that this was actually a technical tee as it doesn’t have that ‘synthetic’ feel of most tops, and unlike many synthetic tees, it doesn’t look too bad down the pub. Although you probably shouldn’t get it in bright yellow if that’s a primary concern. It does come in a variety of more conservative and equally bright colours from black, through yellow, green and blue; so you should find one that suits. It is slightly on the baggy side, which could pose some ‘chafage’ while running, which is the only minor issue we found. If you want to get some long runs in then you may need a tighter top, but then it wouldn’t quite be the all-round top. It’s also a very flattering cut, so you don’t need to breathe in while running past others.
You could use these for running, walking, gym or just for slouching around. While they’re well suited to be an all-rounder, I’d definitely take one of these with me on any future long distance trips for general wear. Not only would it fit the bill for the train journey and pub, it would also be great as tent or sleepwear and still be used for walking during the day as well.
While UA’s claim that this might make you better is classic advertising hyperbole, there’s very little doubt that this will pose a mortal threat to any current favourite tees you may have lurking in your kit box.
