Place Fell, Due to the undulating land there are quite a few sheltered hollows to get out of the wind. Excellent view Eastwards for sunrise and the Westwards one is not too bad either!

This was my first visit to The Glyders & wasn’t really expecting much in terms of dark skies but boy was i wrong!
One of the darkest spots in Wales! You’ll be far enough from any Street lighting here and you can also park nearby.
The Isle of Coll is a recognised Dark Sky Island, which is 32km from the nearest lamp post according to Visit Scotland.
The first area in the UK to be recognised as a Dark sky preserve in 2009. It even has its own observatory!
Kielder Water boasts the darkest skies in England and is a recognised International Dark Sky Preserve. Post your images of this site, or even better, add your own locations in Kielder Water and Forest Park.
The Brecon Beacons is a designated dark sky preserve with plenty of opportunities for star gazing.
A very convenient spot for a quick bit of sky watching seawards. Few houses and lights nearby, but otherwise not too bad.
This is a great location for some night photography, especially as it involves no walking.
Cwm Idwal is one of the more easily reached landmarks in Snowdonia, and despite this, it can still feel wild. Just ensure that you make it there early or in the evening. Â It’s also a great dark sky location.
Cwm Bochlwyd is a magnificent cwm, nestling beneath the cliffs of Glyder Fach and the iconic Tryfan. Magical place!
