Walk up Scafell Pike From Wastwater Wasdale Route

The Walk up Scafell Pike From Waswater in the Lake District climbs England’s highest mountain via the direct spur of Brown Tongue. While it may be the most popular and straightforward route up Scafell Pike, that doesn’t make it an easy walk up Scafell Pike. It’s also the usual 3 peaks route up Scafell pike.

The route starts at the NT car park at Wastwater, it pulls up quite steeply along Lingmell Gill, with little respite until you reach Hollow Stones. Even then, that respite is brief as the track plods on upwards towards Lingmell Col and the junction with the Corridor Route from Borrowdale.

A final pull up to the stony summit plateau awaits, and hopefully you’ll be greeted with an extensive view all around. Either way, you’ll have the satisfaction of being on top of England for a brief moment.
