Walk up Helm Crag from Grasmere
Dave Chick, from All the Gear, No Idea, shares his walking route of a snowy day on Helm Crag in the Lake District’s Eastern Fells. Starting from the village of Grasmere, it ascends from Easedale via a steep path up to the summit of Helm Crag. It may only be just over 400m high, but still high enough for a winter adventure!
Dave says that this walk is a:
prime example of just how seriously anyone should take winter walking in the Lake District – even on the so-called smaller fells.
