Townend and Troutbeck Valley from Brockhole Walk

While there are excellent views of Windermere from the top of Wansfell Pike, this walk offers a more sedate alternative via some quaintly named green lanes. Highly recommended that you continue onward to the Mortal Man at Troutbeck, adding barely 2km to the total distance.

You could also use this as an ascent route to Wansfell Pike by joining onto the following route – Wansfell Pike and Baystones Walk from Troutbeck.
