The Dee Valley Way

The Dee Valley Way is a waymarked route between Corwen and Llangollen in the Clwydian and Dee Valley AONB that can be walked in either direction. It doesn’t climb higher than 400m or so, but does so a few times, making this a reasonably hard day’s walking. Fortunately, you pass through a number of villages on the way, so you’ve plenty of rest stops along the way.

The rotue sets off from Corwen, heading languidly towards Llantysilio Mountain, which the route eventually passes over without actually hitting any summits. It’s then down to the Horseshoe Falls and the Chainbridge at Berwyn Station before a final walk along the Llangollen Canal to Llangollen.

For a longer outing over two days the route can be combined with the North Berwyn Way which meanders over the northern Berwyn foothills.
