Slate Valleys Path – On The Carneddau’s Edge
Setting off at the far end of the Village, or the near end if you’r travelling in from Ogwen, the walk initially follows the Afon Ogwen before crossing it and heading up and over the forest at Braichlmelyn.
Walking then onto the very edge of the Carneddau across the rivers Llafar and Caseg, who’s huge valley’s dominate far above.
Finally skirting the lower slopes of Gyrn Wigau and returning by a quiet lane to the start. It feels like a hill walk, though your highest point is only 300m.
