Shining Tor from Errwood Reservoir

Shining Tor is the highest point in Cheshire at 559m, and lies on the border with Derbyshire with extensive views as far as North Wales and The Wrekin.

This walk starts off from Errwood Reservoir between Buxton and Macclesfield, and you’re practically half way up before you start. Can easily be extended over to Cat’s Tor, or perhaps to the Cat and Fiddle pub, before returning to the start via Goyt’s Clough.
