Moel Gyw from Llanarmon-yn-ial

This is a short walk in the Clwydain Range up Moel Gyw from Llanarmon-yn-ial.  The walk follows the Offa’s Dyke National Trail for much of the route.

The walk starts from the village, heading initially for the small picturesque lake at Llyn Gweryd. It then heads uphill to join the Offa’s Dyke National Trail which takes you initially uphill before contouring around Moel y Plas and Moel Llanfair to the bwlch at Garreg Lwyd. Ther’s finally a short climb to the summit of  Moel Gyw which is a fine viewpoint, and one of the rare summits that still has it’s trig point. Llanarmon-yn-ial is now only a short descent away.
