Knock Fell North Pennine Walk

This route sets off on the Dun Fell Radar Station access road, which at a summit of 848m is the highest metalled road in England, and provides steady progress until the Pennine ridge is reached.

You then return over Knock Fell on the Pennine Way which almost brings you back to the start. It’s only a short fell walk, and navigation on some sections are reasonably straightforward, but the tops in mist should never be underestimated!
