Karrimor Fleece Review

Karrimor is a well known brand and this microfleece stands up to their well-established standard.

A no nonsense garment, with only simple features including a ¼ length zip collar, flatlock stitching, and an embroidered chest logo. Made from 100% polyester it provides a lightweight breathable layer for a brisk low level walk, or you could team it up in a layering system for greater warmth on a more challenging walk, or weather.

I tested the charcoal version, which goes pretty well with anything if colour co-ordination concerns you! It also comes in Black, Bright Green, Olive Green, Ink Blue and Antique Red.

Sizing seems to be fine. I went for the Large, being a lanky 6’2 it fitted well in length both on torso and arms, and the shoulders were able to move freely, so no complaints.Beddgelert - 14

Such is the simplicity of the design it can lend itself to any number of outdoor activity, or even as lounge-wear if you’re a bit of a skinflint on the heating bill! Being a microfleece you would expect it to be lightweight, and compacting it into my backpack was no trouble, and took little space.

I also liked the quick-drying feature, as it made for easy washing and drying, so ready for the next adventure in no time!

You can never have too many microfleeces as far as I’m concerned. This is a solid, no frills piece of kit to have in your arsenal, and at a ridiculously cheap at £11.99 you can’t go wrong.

I would class myself as a relative newcomer to the outdoor pursuits arena, and so my articles will be my attempt to chronicle my adventures, hopefully learning as I go and giving those that are in a similar boat an insight / forum to share and learn.
