The Snowdonia Way

The Snowdonia Way is a long-distance walking trail that runs for 156 km through the mountains of North Wales. Starting in Machynlleth and finishing in Conwy, the trail is a low-level route traversing the entire National Park, taking walkers along the valleys, through woodlands and past lakes and rivers. It can be completed in 6-8 days, and each day ends in a town or village where there is accommodation, facilities and public transport. Alongside the main route, there are mountain alternatives, allowing walkers to reach peaks along the way.

  1. Hi! Thanks for sharing. I’m going to walk the Snowdonia way in the beginning of April and would therefore like to use the GPX file. Somehow, it doesn’t seem to work however. Is it possible that the file is corrupted? Thanks a million for your quick answer!

  2. Hi, is there a GPX that covers the high route over the mountains? If not I’ll try and create one but that will be map based rather than tracked… (Until I get back!). X G

  3. Hi Grant, I’ve got the file – i’ll pm you my email on the Mud and Routes messenger and pass them on to you. We’re looking to adding the individual leg GPX files onto the walk description in due course.

    Hi Dave / Grant,

Is there a GPX file for the mountain route available please? No worries if not, will attempt to create one. Thank you

Hey guys. I’m struggling to find a GPX of either the mountain or valley route anywhere. Can anybody point me in the direction of where to find these? Kind regards, Mathew.
