The Mosedale Horseshoe
The Mosedale Horeseshoe is a classic Lakeland walk from Wasdale. Taking in 8 summits in one route, including 5 Wainwrights (Kirk Fell, Pillar, Scoat Fell, Red Pike and Yewbarrow), this is a tough day out in the hills.
The route starts off with a steep pull up to Kirk Fell before a decent to Black Sail Pass. It’s then back up to peak out on Pillar. The return leg of the horseshoe route continues over Scoat Fell and Red Pike, leaving a scramble over Yewbarrow and a descent to Wastwater to finish.
