Had a great walk up after work tonight, the first after work bimble of the year. It was cloudy and the windchill was unexpected for April, especially after the exceptionally warm March.

The best thing about these sort of clouds are the crepuscular rays, that photos never seem to do proper justice to.

There appeared to be some sort of mountain leader course judging by the number of tents in Cwm Llan. We tried to count the number, and we got the ones near the quarries correct but thought there was a bright red tent that wasn’t really there. Further down the valley, we still can’t tell if there were three or four tents as there appears to be a fourth tent that’s particularly well camouflaged!

There trip was worth it as there was a rare view, albeit not of Yr Wyddfa which remained stubbornly with her heads in the clouds all evening. I even managed to do my back in on the summit as we raced furiously for the summit like two five year olds after hearing the ice cream van.
